About:
Ho-Seok Sa, MD, PhD is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan, Seoul, Korea and has taken charge of the division of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery since 2010. Dr. Sa graduated from the Seoul National University College of Medicine in 2001. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Samsung Medical Center, and a fellowship in OPRS under the supervision of Dr. Yoon-Duck Kim at Samsung Medical Center, Seoul, Korea. He had short-term training at Mayo Clinic, USA in 2005 and at Aichi Medical University Hospital, Japan in 2011. He had additional research experience in eyelid cancers and orbital tumors as a visiting associate professor at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, USA, under the supervision of Dr. Bita Esmaeli in 2017-2019. Dr. Sa has more than 50 peer-reviewed academic publications and several book chapters. He has delivered numerous presentations and lectures in international meetings. His professional activities include: Director of international academic exchange of Korean Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (KSOPRS) (2020- ); Vice executive director of KSOPRS (2019-2020);
Editorial board member of Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society (2020- ); International
member of ASOPRS (2018- ); and Councilor of APSOPRS (2014-2016).
